The NBA Summer league is currently going on and we have seen some incredible performances throughout it! We have also seen some pretty bad ones too but there’s also an issue with this mid summer tournament. The narratives that are created throughout this show case can sometimes be a little over the top… Wouldn’t you guys agree?
Now with those headlines, first overall pick Victor Wembanyama had his first two games this past week. One game where he looked horrific and told the media he was “lost”. The other game he completed showed out and had a terrific game. Once again people tend to hang on to these summer league performances like they define players worth. What do you guys think about Victor’s short summer league stint?
Normally we do not have a lot of baseball content but we thought this deserved some attention. With the MLB trade deadline approaching there are always big names rumored to be on the move. This year that name is Shohei Ohtani, the mega star from the LA Angels. Of course his name has been linked to several teams if he is in fact made available. The team that is being reported to be the front runner is The New York Yankees! If the Yankees were to make this move does Ohtani make them World Series favorites?
Staying in the MLB the St. Louis Cardinals are struggling mightily! It looks like they will be active sellers at the deadline as well, but the question is how. How did a 93 win team from last season collapse this quickly without much roster turn around?
